After more than a decade off-air, Phineas and Ferb is back with 40 all-new episodes. The revival debuts on Disney Channel and Disney XD on June 5, followed by a batch of episodes on Disney+ starting June 6.
What Makes the Phineas and Ferb Revival Different Yet Familiar?

The Phineas and Ferb revival brings back the same humor, musical flair, and characters that defined its original run. Povenmire and Marsh received Disney’s full support to stick to the original tone and storytelling. They reunited much of the original writing team while also bringing in younger fans who grew up with the series to provide fresh perspectives.
Although the overall animation and character designs remain consistent, subtle visual tweaks reflect the characters’ growth. For instance, Phineas now has an extra stripe on his shirt to make him appear slightly older. The show even updated the iconic theme song for the first few episodes to say, “there’s another 104 days of summer vacation,” before returning to the original lyrics.
The revival explores more character-driven stories, particularly involving secondary figures like Baljeet, Buford, Stacy, Carl, and Vanessa. One episode features a “very meaningful storyline” for a large inanimate object and includes a song performed by Michael Bublé. Stacy is now aware of Perry the Platypus’s true identity, and Carl receives an expanded backstory.
