Rumors have been circulating that Sam Raimi, the director of the original Spider-Man trilogy, is planning to reunite with Tobey Maguire for a fourth installment. However, Raimi has clarified that no such project is currently in development.

According to Variety, in a recent interview at WonderCon, Raimi addressed the persistent rumors, stating, “I haven’t heard about that yet. I did read that, but I’m not actually working on it yet.”

While acknowledging the success of the current Spider-Man movies with Tom Holland, Raimi expressed his appreciation for Maguire’s return in Spider-Man: No Way Home, calling it “really, super powerful.”

“I haven’t talked to Tobey about [a fourth movie with me], but maybe Marvel has or Columbia Pictures,” Raimi added, suggesting that discussions could be happening behind the scenes.
