How Many Seasons of Paradise Are Planned?
Production on Paradise Season 2 is underway, and creator Dan Fogelman recently revealed that the show is envisioned as a three-season story. During a recent Variety Writer’s Room event, Fogelman explained that having defined narrative milestones helps structure the show effectively.
“I know, generally, how many episodes I want to do,” he said. “Once you have those markers, you say, that’s act one, that’s act two, and that’s act three.”
This structured approach ensures that Paradise will follow a clear and cohesive arc through its three planned seasons — a strategy that often benefits serialized storytelling.

Which Characters Will Return in Paradise Season 2?
Leading the cast once again is Sterling K. Brown, who stars as Agent Xavier Collins. Collins is a Secret Service agent investigating the murder of President Cal Bradford, portrayed by James Marsden. In one of the first season’s key surprises, Bradford is killed in the opening episode despite having a prominent presence in the series’ marketing.
However, Marsden’s character continued to appear in Season 1 through frequent flashbacks. His status for Season 2 remains unconfirmed, while Brown is confirmed to reprise his role.
Julianne Nicholson will also return as Sinatra in the new season. Additional cast updates include Shailene Woodley and Thomas Doherty joining the ensemble. Doherty is set to portray the leader of a biker gang, adding a new layer to the show’s dynamic world.
Another key character, Teri Collins (played by Enuka Okuma), is expected to take on a more prominent role in Season 2, following revelations about her survival outside the underground compound.

What Is Paradise About?
Paradise centers on Agent Xavier Collins, who is assigned to investigate the assassination of President Cal Bradford. But the story takes a major turn when it is revealed that Collins, Bradford, and about 25,000 other individuals are living in an underground facility — part of a survival effort following a global catastrophe that allegedly wiped out humanity.
As the season progresses, viewers learn that the outside world still harbors survivors, including Collins’ wife Teri. These discoveries set the stage for deeper conflicts and moral questions about leadership, truth, and survival — themes expected to continue in Season 2.

Paradise Season 2 is currently in production and is expected to premiere on Hulu in 2026. No official release date has been announced. Season 1 is available to stream now on Hulu.
