What is the Plot and Who’s in the Cast of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes?
The trailer for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes reveals a world generation after the events of the previous films, with a new ape antagonist and a twisted ape settlement ruled by Proximus Caesar (Kevin Durand). The despotic ruler has distorted the teachings of the late Caesar, transforming ape society into a warlike civilization.
The ape protagonist, Noa (Owen Teague), resists Proximus’ evil rule and teams up with Mae (Freya Allan), a feral human woman he rescues. Peter Macon plays Raka, a worldly Orangutan and one of Noa’s key allies. While the full cast is still being revealed, the central conflict revolves around Noa and Mae’s attempt to escape Proximus’ tyranny.
