In an interview with Bustle, Lohan opened up about a specific period when being overworked had gone too far.
“I was recording an album in my trailer on the set of the movie [Herbie] and promoting the album while shooting, like, TRL,” she recalled, likely referring to her 2005 album A Little More Personal (Raw).
Lohan’s hectic schedule even prevented her from taking care of basic medical needs.
“I remember this so specifically: I had to go to the dentist. I had no time to go to the dentist, but something happened with my tooth. The dentist had to come to see me. It was just so much all the time.”
According to the reports, the increased stress Lohan was facing at the time resulted in her being hospitalized for a kidney infection.

Paparazzi Scrutiny and the Need for a Break
While Lohan was juggling multiple projects and promotional commitments, the paparazzi were also closely monitoring her personal life, often capturing her partying at Hollywood nightclubs despite being barely 20 years old.
“I feel like some of [my work] got overshadowed by paparazzi and all that kind of stuff when I was younger, and that’s kind of annoying. I wish that part didn’t happen,” Lohan expressed.
The constant media attention and scrutiny surrounding her personal life led Lohan to take a step back from the spotlight.
“I feel like that kind of took on a life of its own. So that’s why I wanted to disappear. I was like, ‘Unless there’s no story here, they’re not going to focus on just my work.'”
Lohan’s desire to protect her work and separate it from the paparazzi frenzy surrounding her personal life is understandable, given the intense pressure she faced as a young actress navigating stardom.
