Marvel Comics is gearing up for a chilling new crossover event titled “Blood Hunt,” and with it comes the introduction of a formidable new group of villains known as the Bloodcoven. Prepare to meet these terrifying SuperVampires who will strike fear into the hearts of your favorite heroes.
The Bloodcoven : Marvel’s Deadly SuperVampire Faction
As Per Marvel, According to writer Jed MacKay, the Bloodcoven members are not your average vampires. They are
“SuperVampires, fed on the blood of superhumans that follow different vampiric philosophies, subsisting not only on blood but pain, or magic, or thoughts, or even ghosts!”
The Bloodcoven consists of menacing figures like Megrim, Cruel, Unusual, the Damascene, Smoke Eater, and their leader, Bloodstorm One – a clone of Dracula created by the nefarious organization Hydra.
As per artist Pepe Larraz, who helped bring these characters to (un)life,
“I threw together a list of names and some thoughts about powers, but it was Pepe who really brought these characters to (un)life, creating an extremely gnarly set of predators!”

Bloodcoven ‘s Unspeakable Powers and Abilities
Each member of the Bloodcoven possesses unique and unspeakable abilities that make them formidable adversaries. Smoke Eater, for instance, inhales ghosts to acquire their strength in combat, while Damascene’s geometrical body is designed to be sharp and lethal. Megrim, described as the most vampire-like of the group, is said to be unbearable, with a blood-drenched cloth hiding her face and a skirt that forms shapes like screaming faces. Unusual, on the other hand, is a collage of ever-changing, sinister engravings, defying conventional designs. Their leader, Bloodstorm One, is a true monster disguised as a perfect human shell, hiding a twisted, homicidal nature within. His armor pays homage to Vlad Tepes’ armor from the film “Dracula,” adding to his menacing presence.
Fans can learn more about the Bloodcoven’s secrets, origins, and their cruel master when “Blood Hunt” kicks off in May. The crossover event promises a thrilling clash between Marvel’s heroes and these deadly SuperVampires, as a cursed eternal night washes over Earth, allowing vampires to emerge and satisfy their blood lust like never before.
